Valerie Chastain started working as an independent massage therapist in 2011. She was working full time at a spa but rented a room inside an attorney’s office to take a few clients on the side. Valerie sees massage as an effective therapy for chronic, stubborn pain, as well as an important component of nurturing mental, emotional health. She envisioned growing her business to provide a massage studio that focused on massage as pain therapy, rather than a spa-style service. 

Because of his similar massage style and vision for his own business ideas, she asked Michael Disko to join her in 2014 and they began building this side-gig into Evolve Massage and Alternative Healing. Within 6 months, they had moved to an office off highland avenue that was their own.

In 2016 they added Ian Krusinski as a partner and moved again into a bigger office in Southside. Over the following years, Evolve moved to Homewood and continued to grow into what it is today. 

We are fortunate to have a wonderful staff and beautiful building in the heart of Homewood, AL. We have 5 therapy rooms and a retail shop in front. We have added several talented therapists and have grown our menu of services to include several alternative healing methods including Reiki, Sound Healing, Chinese Body Work, Divination and more. 

Our shop is full of beautiful crystals, candles, chocolate, books, jewelry, clothing, and more.
